OPERATING MODES
MIX and MULTI MODE
It’s the main mode of the DORS 820: it counts different denominations of single currency (MIX mode) or several currencies together (MULTI mode). As a result of the counting, you can see a report broken down by currencies and by denominations.
DEN MODE
In this mode, the DORS 820 counts banknotes of the same denomination. You may need this mode if you want to separate different denominations from a mixed batch or just need to count single denomination batch. After the counting is completed, the user has a detailed report on the number of banknotes of each denomination as well as the total amount.
COUNT
It’s a simple piece counting of banknotes without their recognition. This mode allows you to count pre-verified banknotes and banknote-size documents like lottery tickets.
ORIENTATION
This mode allows you to sort banknotes by face and orientation, which simplifies the preparing for cash collection.
FITNESS SORTING
It’s the MIX mode with simultaneous fitness sorting. It helps to reject the following types of unfit notes: soil, stains, stamps, inscriptions, holes, lack of integrity, discoloration, presence of adhesive tape, etc. This mode allows you to adjust the fitness parameters according to the requirements of a particular bank.
AUTO AND MANUAL START
In AUTO mode, the machine starts counting once the banknotes put into the hopper. The user can choose a MANUAL mode, in which the cashier first puts the banknotes in the pocket, and then starts the counting by pressing the button.
TYPES OF DETECTION
Serial number recognition and comparison
The DORS 820 recognizes serial numbers of banknotes and saves them as text info and/or pictures. It’s also possible to compare two serial numbers of the same banknote in order to catch a counterfeit made of several parts of genuine and fake notes.
Visible image of banknote
The machine scans the banknote and verifies its match with a genuine one.
UV detection
The DORS 820 measure the level of background ultraviolet luminescence of banknote paper in the ultraviolet spectrum. It helps to reject some types of counterfeits.
IR detection
Each note is illuminated by infrared light, after which the sensor compares its IR image with a genuine one.
Magnetic ink detection
The multichannel magnetic sensors verify the properties on the serial numbers and other points of a banknote where the magnetic ink was applied. If the banknote’s response is abnormal (too high or too low), the banknote is rejected for further examination.
Size detection
The machine recognizes the length and the width of banknote to reject suspicious and damaged notes.
Optical density detection
To determine the authenticity of the banknote paper, the machine evaluates its density by means of infrared luminescence.
Integrity control
The DORS 820 rejects banknotes with missing fragments.
